History of the hotel :

For 4 generations, the Jacquier family has shared with its guests its love for Burgundy region and its passion for its profession as hotelier and restaurateur. In 2018, as the proud owner of 12 hotels in Burgundy, in the cities of Dijon, Beaune and Chalon-sur-Saône, the Jacquier family decided to embark on a new adventure: the opening of a Mercure hotel in Paris! The choice of the 17th arrondissement was quickly made, with its residential side, particularly in the Batignolles district, often compared to a small village, while being just a few steps away from the Arc de Triomphe. The district is growing fast and some big companies are starting to set up their headquarters here... That’s perfect! The Jacquier family found the ideal premises and undertook astonishing work to transform these former offices into a design hotel, comfortable and open to the city!

The Jacquier family strives to give a strong identity to each of its establishments. That is why it calls on its trusted interior designer, Frédéric Grosjean, from Studio ADN, who turns the Mercure Paris 17 Batignolles into a real art gallery! Indeed, the urban side of this arrival in the capital city is fully assumed, with a design hotel that pays tribute to Street Art. Paintings decorate the common areas, with an original work by JonOne, one of the pioneers of the graffiti movement in the 1980s, or Shepard Fairey, famous thanks to the creation of the HOPE poster for Barack Obama's presidential campaign in 2008. Unique black and white frescos decorate each floor as if it were a giant comic, and art books are available in the bookcase. There is no doubt that the hotel is located in the trendy Batignolles district, a few steps away from ART42 - Musée d'Art Urbain, and the Parc Monceau.

However, for the Jacquier family, there is no question of denying their Burgundian roots, quite the contrary! The Bar à Bourgogne, in the heart of the hotel, proudly represents this emblematic region of oenophiles and bon vivant with the greatest appellations of Burgundian wines. Breakfast is also imbued with regional products such as gingerbread, and some lucky guests will get Nonettes, Anis de Flavigny or Crème de Cassis, as a gift in their room.
